Color Refresh....New Color Collections!

Here is a sneak peek at a special change....the new color collections!!  No, the new catalog is not out yet....(May 31st) but Stampin Up is showing us a few new changes just a bit early!! Here they are!!

You will notice that each color collection has a change. All but one of the new colors are returning in colors...it is great to see some of my favorites coming back and staying!! The one brand new color this year is Smoky Slate!  Grey is such a popular and trendy color now so it will be great to have a lighter grey to use as well as the basic grey!! Now is the time to stock up on re-inkers of the retiring colors!!!

   OK, this card is so fun, and easy! Take any shapes that you have (I used a bunch of circle punches) glue them down to your card base in whatever Pattern you want, then emboss it. I used the NEW chevron folder...I just LOVE this one!! Polka Dots would be cut too!!  The Stamp Set is from Sale-A-Bration, so last couple days to get it!! It has some really cute stamps in it! The Polka Dot Paper is from the DSP Paper Stacks, and the color is Lucky Limeade.  I also took a scrap of Natural Cotton Ribbon and tied a knot, trimmed and frayed the edges. This could also be a great masculine card if you just change the colors a bit!!

Stippled Blossoms

This card was done with the stamp set called Stippled Blossoms!! This is a simple yet beautiful card! you can keep the layout and add another sentiment and have many beautiful options! I use this set to stamp on a whole 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper, voila, you have hand made patterned paper!! Try all sorts of color combos too!! Here are a few I have done!

Easter Cards

Good day friends!! I hope you are enjoying this month....Easter will be here soon!! I have a couple cards to show you that were in the March Color Coach Class!! Enjoy!

The cute little bunny from this card was inspired from Catherine Poolers website ( I did not have all the punches that she used so I figured out some on my own!! All you need is circle punches and the blossom builder punch (for his cute bum). The ovals are from the new Ovals Collection Framelits in the new catalog. The flower (tail) is from the spring catalog as well, it is called  5/8" Flower Trim. This was a product that I 'thought" I could live without, but I was wrong.....it is sooooo stinkin cute!!

On this card I used the Tasteful Trim Bigs XL Die from the everyday catalog. This is one cool die!! It had four different trims...scallops (the one that I used), rick rack, a wave border and the other one I call a bead border (looks like a strand of beads)  The Stamp Set is from the Single Stamps from Stampin' Up!...these are only available thru March 31st, so get yours now!!

Sent With Love Bundle and cards

Hello Stampin Friends!! This card was made without any stamping! Two of the sheets of Designer Paper has arrows, pennants, tags and many other things that you can fussy cut, or use the other side that is patterned! SO many options!! I added some Calypso Coral Bakers Twine (comes in the bundle) around the arrow I cut out. This was a quick and easy card!!

This is a 4X4 card that was so fast and simple!  The clouds were made using the Clouds Embossing Folder that is in the Spring Catalog. The "for you" tag and the airplane DSP are from the Sent With Love Paper Pack. I stamped the "sent with love" using the Stamp Set that is in this bundle. Add some extra circles to create a frame and a Pool Party Designer Printed Brad and you have a sweet card for your love :)

By The Tide

Today I have two cards to show you...they are both made from the "By the Tide" Stamp Set. This set is in the Spring Catalog on page 19.

The colors I used were Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Early Espresso and Old Olive. Along with "By the Tide, I also used the Netting background stamp...super cute!!

The colors I used on this one are very different from the first! The Real Red really brightens this card up and makes the lobster the star of the show!! Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Sahara Sand, and Real Red are the colors. I added some Linen Thread to finish off this great masculine card!

Swallowtail....WOW!

I just got this stamp, it is a single "background" stamp with endless possibilities! This is just one of my creations...more to come!

I used Stampin' Up's glossy white paper (love this stuff), black Staz On, then I sponged on Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red ink. Fussy cut and mount on black. Doesn't this just "pop" out at you??!! I will be using this a lot!!
You could add a sentiment to this or just use it like I am...as a note card.

Up, Up and Away!!

I have LOVED this set since I first saw it, but had never bought it! I just got it, and wow is it fun!!! So many options...look for more to come!!

The Designer Series Paper is from the Spring Catalog. It's called Sunshine and Sprinkles....very cute!
This pattern goes PERFECT with the hot air balloons!  I used the sentiment, balloons, and birds from the Up Up and Away Set, with Black Staz on, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Midnight Muse and Wild Wasabi ink. I stamped the balloons on Whisper White and then fussy cut them...don't forget to pop them up with Stampin Dimensionals!!  I just love this card!

Watercoloring!!

This is big business for me.....I have been scared to death of water coloring but after trying new things lately, I think I may actually like it :) So I'm still new, and I know I'm not great (yet) but it is coming along!! Check out my creation!!

Beautiful Sympathy Card!

Hello Creative Friends! Today's Card is made from 1/2  sheet of Card stock!! Sometimes I am in the mood for easy cards, but most days I love cards with LOTS of layers and bling!! When I got this Stamp Set.....Stippled Blossoms #126745 (for Wood mount), I just knew it needed nothing else!! This "2 Step" Stamping has become one of my favorite things...I was scared at first that I could not get the "top" image stamped directly over the "bottom" one....WELL....that is the beauty of these sets, you don't have to!! I stamp my "outline" image first, in this case it is Rose Red for the flowers, and Old Olive for the leaves. Next take a lighter color (Pink Pirouette for flowers and Certainly Celery for the leaves) and the coordinating image and stamp on top...voila, a beautiful, simple yet striking card!! I did add a sentiment from the "So Sorry" Set with black Staz On. I also added some of the tiny pearls, just because I had to add some bling:)

More Masculine..."The Open Sea"

Hello friends! This is one of the cards I made a while back, but had to share!! I am in LOVE with "The Open Sea" Stamp Set!!

The Colors I have used on this card I picked up from the Stampin Up's Color Coach....an AWESOME product!! Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy and Riding Hood Red was the color combo. The embossing folder is the Stripes...I think this is the coolest...you can make faux paneling!! I think this card looks like it is from the inside of a ship peering out and seeing another ship sailing by!! Did you notice the faux wallpaper??? Use the same color ink as your paper and the "ledger" stamp from the open sea set. Four of the mini brads finish this card nicely!

Simple yet striking Thank you Card!

This is such an easy FAST card!! I used Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip card stock. The Stamp Set is called "Tea Shoppe" from the Everyday Catalog. Ink is Chocolate Chip. I embossed the bottom of the card with the Scallop Envelope from the "Adorning Accents Folder" (this is a super cute set of three folders for only $8.95!!.) I also added a little softness by placing a fork bow on the base of the cup.....the ribbon is Soft Suede Taffeta. I just LOVE the tones of this card!!!!

All Dressed Up....SO MUCH FUN!!

I got to play with the All Dressed Up Framelits and Stamp Set this weekend.....look what I did!! If you have questions on what Stampin Up Products I used just leave me a comment...too many pictures to talk about them all :)  I knew this set was going to be fun, but WOW it is WAY FUN and the possibilities are endless!!!!
